Step 1 – FREE No-Obligation Quote
How do I get a quote from Severnview?
There are two easy ways to get a quote:
Call our team on 01452 671087 to arrange a free technical survey.
Send us photos and sizes of your project, and we can provide a rough quote (subject to a technical survey).
What happens during a quote appointment?
During your quote appointment, one of our experienced surveyors will visit your property to carry out a free technical survey.
They will:
Discuss your requirements and ideas
Take accurate measurements
Assess the suitability of your property
Talk you through product options, finishes, and styles
Answer any questions you may have
Once everything has been assessed, we will provide you with a detailed, no-obligation quote.
How long can I expect the quote appointment to last?
A typical quote appointment usually takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the size and complexity of your project.
This allows enough time for our surveyor to take measurements, discuss your requirements, and answer any questions you may have.
When will I receive my quote from Severnview?
You can typically expect to receive your quote within 24–48 hours after your appointment.
In some cases, more complex projects may take slightly longer, but we will always keep you informed.
How long is my quote valid for?
Your quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued.
Step 2 – Detailed Technical Survey
What is a technical survey and why do I need one?
A technical survey is a detailed on-site assessment carried out by one of our experienced surveyors before any work begins.
During the survey, we take precise measurements and check important structural details to ensure everything is suitable for installation. This helps us confirm that your quote is accurate and that your project can be completed safely and to the highest standard.
A technical survey is essential to avoid any unexpected issues and ensures a smooth installation process from start to finish.
Do you use your own surveyors?
Yes, we use our own experienced in-house surveyors. This ensures a consistent, high-quality service and accurate measurements for your project from start to finish.
What happens once you’ve recorded all technical details?
Once all technical details have been recorded, we finalise your specifications and confirm everything is ready for the next stage.
Your project is then prepared for ordering and scheduling, and we will keep you informed on lead times and the next steps through to installation.
Step 3 – Place Your Order
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, we require a 50% deposit to proceed with your order. This allows us to secure materials and schedule your project for production and installation.
What if I want to put my windows and doors on finance?
Yes, we offer interest-free finance options over 12 or 24 months.
Please note, the finance price will be slightly higher than the standard payment price, as this reflects the cost of providing the finance option.
What happens once I’ve paid my deposit and signed my contract?
Once your deposit has been paid and your contract is signed, we place your order and begin processing your project.
We will then keep you updated on lead times and next steps through to installation.
Step 4 – Manufactured in Britain
What happens once my order is placed with your suppliers?
Once your order has been placed with our suppliers, your products go into manufacture.
We will keep you updated on progress and expected lead times, and once your order is ready, we will arrange a suitable installation date with you.
How long will it take to manufacture my windows and doors?
Manufacturing times vary depending on the product type and finish:
Standard uPVC products typically take up to 3 weeks
Aluminium products can take up to 4 weeks
Specialised colours and bespoke designs can take up to 6 weeks
We will keep you updated throughout the process and let you know once your order is ready for installation scheduling.
Can I change my order once manufacturing has begun?
No, once manufacturing has begun we are unable to make changes to your order, as your products are made to the agreed specification.
We will always confirm all details with you before production starts to ensure everything is correct.
Step 5 – Professional Installation
Do I need to be present during the installation?
Yes, we ask that you or a responsible adult is present during the installation.
This ensures our installers have access to the property and can confirm key details with you if needed throughout the work.
Do I need to prepare my house before installation?
Yes, we ask that you make a few simple preparations before installation day.
Please ensure the area around your windows or doors is clear of furniture, curtains, blinds, and any personal belongings. This helps our installers work safely and efficiently.
We also recommend ensuring clear access to the property for our team on the day.
Where will you start the installation?
Our installers will typically start work upstairs at the front of the property and then move around to the rear, or follow a planned sequence based on access and the scope of the project.
We will always assess your property on arrival and confirm the installation plan with you before work begins.
Will the installation create a mess in my home?
We always take care to minimise disruption and keep your home as clean as possible during installation.
We use protective coverings and clean up as we go, however, due to the nature of the work, there may be a small amount of dust. We always make sure everything is tidied and left in good order once the installation is complete.
What happens to my old windows and doors?
Your old windows and doors are carefully removed by our installation team and taken away from your property.
Where possible, the materials are recycled in line with responsible waste management practices, helping to reduce environmental impact.
